Here are a couple of suggestions for problems you might experience while shopping at Bird's The Word. As we encounter any other problems, we will post solutions here. PLEASE report any problems you are having with our store, to the Webmaster. Problem: Receive this error message when attempting to add item to cart: "birdstheword.com is the
accepted referrer. Solution: This occurs because there is a conflict with your antivirus program and our secure server. All you need to do is temporarily disable your antivirus program, access our store, place your order and enable your antivirus program when finished. We are only aware of this error occurring with Norton. If you are running a newer version of Norton, you can simply disable the program by clicking on the "Norton Internet Security" icon on the lower right hand of your tool bar at the bottom of your desktop (near where the time appears). Right click the icon, choose "disable", and access the store. Repeat this step to "enable" once you are finished.
Problem: Items in cart seem to disappear after placing several items into it. Solution: Be sure that you do not use the "back" button on your browser after you add an item into the cart. To return to the page where you added the item, simply click the "go back" button within that page, NOT the "back" button on your browser. You may notice at the top of the page that the cart will appear to deduct the item from your shopping basket, but once you click on another item, the items will appear correctly in the cart, if you click "view cart". You can also simply click on any category in the column to the left, which will also take you to inventory pages where you can add items to the cart correctly.
